I had the same Idea. But I have taken different path.
With Stratios and drones I can solo 6/10 in blood raider space, I can refit with mobile depot. Drones are for DPS and I have remote reppers. Stratios have fairly big cargo bay.
I can be self sufficient and usually can stay under the radar. But I should be more carefull I noticed. You risk your ship and your ship is your home after all.

It would be cool if there was a jump capable ship that could be turned into a mobile base. A black ops orca, redesigned rorqual or a T3 mobile structure with unique mods, is what i have in mind.
Rorqual looks like a mobile production plant. Could produce everything beside spaceships.

He does have right in that the death is inevitable in EVE when you move thru the regions known to have dwellers that like to PVP, with all your ships and cargo.
No amount of cerefullness will prevent you from inevitable, some day, someone will have enough luck, and you will have anough lazy mind to slip into Capsule and then into new clone.
Dealing with that situation would require you to have spare ships, spare clones, located in some moving base if it must be a whole nomad experience.
On earth nomadic people usually stay in one place some time and then move to another, from camp to camp. They have certain locations they move thru, that are known to be safe and abundant into resources. Nomadic people move with all they own. If they are ambushed they lose everything and must start everything again from scrap.

You should get it eventually. Some people would like to play every game like that. FIrst, they like not to be dependent on others, second, they dont like others to tell them what to do, third, they dont like other people as much as they like peacefull solitary confinement and focus on the goal. There are more causes to this gameplay, search if you want.
